Meeting report

The 2016 meeting was held at the Manchester Museum, Manchester. Committee meetings, followed by the Council meeting were held on the afternoon and evening of the 9th. On Saturday the 10th members and invited speakers gathered at the Museum for an eclectic progamme of seven talks ranging from floristic accounts of beautiful islands, bryophyte taxonomy to restoration of heathlands by Sphagnum ‘beads’. Some participants stayed on for the Sunday field excursion to Anglezarke Reservoir and Lead Mines at Clough near Chorley, approximately 15 miles north of  Manchester.
