Meeting report

County Wicklow is a varied county with a diverse range of habitats such as mountains to 925m, upland heath, blanket bog, upland crags and loughs, coastal habitats, fen and transition mire, oak woodland and glens and leadmines. We will focus on continuing recording for a County Flora. We held an informal meeting in April 2018 to launch the County Flora recording, which led to the discovery of two new species for Ireland. So, there’s potential for making good records!

We will based in Laragh, near Glendalough, as this gives good access to the north and south of the county. We have reserved 3 self-catering cottages, each with 2 x twin and 1 x double bedroom: Glendale Holiday Cottages https://www.glendale-glendalough.com/Self-Catering-Cottages/glendale-holiday-cottages.html. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Each cottage has a kitchen, but there are also pubs in Laragh within walking distance and a small shop in the village.
