Meeting details
We have been offered the opportunity to visit this private woodland in Monmouthshire, part of Ninewells Wood and adjacent to Cleddon Bog. The current owner purchased the woodland around 10 years ago when it consisted of Corsican Pine, which he felled and replanted with Beech, Oak and Hazel. It is now designated as a RAWS (Recovering Ancient Woodland) site.
Meet at the Ninewells Wood car park at SO 5149 0385 (What3Words built.fondest.shaves). Stout boots or wellies recommended as the ground can be muddy in places. The owner (Alan Waterman) will meet us here and take us around the wood.
