We will explore a long strip of oak woodland between Lough Dan and Lough Tay with an escarpment running through it. There is a river below the slope (Cloghoge River) and wet heath above, so there will be plenty of upland habitats to explore.

Meet at 10:30am at the large car park along the Wicklow Way on the R759 (Grid Ref. O 172 064; OSI Discovery Series map 56).
