This is a joint meeting with the Inverness Botany Group and North West Scotland Bryophyte Group, led by BBS member Nick Hodgetts. There are several walking trails in the Dog Falls area with a variety of habitats to explore including Caledonian pine forest, gorges and natural woodland so there should be a good range of bryophyte species to be found.
All the walking trails are steep and cover uneven ground so please dress appropriately with sturdy footwear and clothing for all weathers! Bring a packed lunch/thermos and hand lens if you have one. There is a £3 daily charge to park at Dog Falls (coin-only). Please check out the links below for more information:
