The chances are you’re bit like me, and don’t even notice the Site search facility on most websites, let alone use it. I just head straight for a Google search whenever I want to find something out.

However, the new website has been organized with the site search in mind, and you might find it worth experimenting. Search terms are inclusive, so if you search for ‘Grimmia’ for example, you will get a lot of pages and posts, whereas if you enter ‘Grimmia’ and ‘pulvinata’, it will only display pages and posts with both these words in.

• Try ‘meeting’ and ‘2017’ to locate all meetings in 2017 (and from there, drill down to view meeting reports).
• ‘VC29’ is a quick and easy way of getting to the Vice-county page for Cambridge
• ‘Conocephalum’ returns an assortment of different information: Species pages, Bryophyte of the Month posts and a Field Bryology issue with an article about the BBS Conocephalum survey in 2005.
