ERCCIS Mosses and Liverworts on Trees Workshop

Leader: Roy Jeffery

It’s no secret that bryophytes (i.e. mosses and liverworts) aren’t the easiest group to get into, but Roy Jeffery breaks them down into distinct groups and focuses on key id features, at a pace suitable for complete beginners. By the end of this workshop, you will know what to look for in identifying a moss or liverwort, and be able to recognise some of the most common and distinctive species that grow on trees.

This workshop will have a strong focus on ‘epiphytic bryophytes’ – those that grow on trees and other sturdy plants – but complete beginners are welcome as we will be covering the basics of bryophyte identification.

This workshop is being organised by Cornwall Wildlife Trust and is a chargeable event. For more details and to book, please check their website at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/erccis-mosses-and-liverworts-on-trees-workshop-registration-560594582487
